[NEWS] D'espairsRay Announce Immediate Break-Up

With their Yokohama performance last year on December 30th at Yokohama BLITZ D'espairsRay had been going on a break to support the healing of vocalist HIZUMI's throat condition.

As of today, June 15th 2011, D'espairsRay have announced their immediate disbanding which has become the final result of talks between staff and members and been announced on the official homepage.

The members have each left a statement on the homepage, HIZUMI's looking as follows:

"For the treatment of my through we have gone on an infinite hiatus and while having undergone acupuncture, chiropractic and Qigong, even now the restoration of it is not yet in sight. As a result of the talks with all four members and since we can't revive activities like this, it is like a natural extinction. We came to the conclusion that we should break this up with dignity.

Please, everyone, who had hoped for our return, forgive us this betrayal it has become.

Unfortunately we also can't be doing a final live, but I hope we can return something to you in a different shape.

With the beginning of this band, a number of meetings have come about and through joyful, sad and tough times, there hadn't been a single superfluous experience.
Thank you to everyone who loved D'espairsRay for these 11 years."
-- HIZUMI

We sincerely wish our very best to all band members and hope they find a new path for themselves, while continuously hoping for HIZUMI's recovery.

KuRT Profile

MEMBERS :
Guitar: Ryouki
Drums: Kiaki
Guitar: Yuma
Bass: Saburou
Bass: Oto
Vocals: Tenten

Started: 2004
Status: Disbanded 2007

PROFILE :

KuRt was formed by former members of Hanamuke, Yuma and Tenten. They released their first single Oritamishiki Ojiichan in January 2005, which was limited to 2000 copies and sold out very quickly. Their next single was titled Saraba BAMBI, and only available through mail order. Two months later, they played their first one-man live titled "Kihibikiiyako 3 Hiki ~Sendai Hen~", and also released their first full length album Junketsu Sengishiri Metsuretsu.

The band toured throughout the time they were together, participating in such tours as Cannonball vol. 2, and the 8th anniversary event for Takadanobaba AREA. They also went on tour with Vidoll and bis and in November they participated in "UNDERCODE PRODUCTIONS SPECIAL TOUR: NIHON SEIATSU TOUR 2005" before finishing off the year with a one man live at the Shibuya Ax.
They continued to tour throughout 2006, and even made appearances in Korea. A few months upon returning to Japan, Tenten announced he would be leaving the band. Oddly, this news came on his blog rather than at a live showing. The remaining band members of KuRt didn’t want to replace Tenten and decided to play their final show. Tenten didn’t show up, and KuRt was forced to play without a vocalist. As a final farewell, THEE SPIDER EFFECT was pressed as a compilation CD containing all six of the singles released for the series. It was limited to only 2000 copies and also included a DVD featuring three new PVs.

Kuroyume

MEMBERS :

Vocals: Kiyoharu
Bass: Hitoki
Guitar: Sho

Started: 1991
Status: Disbanded

PROFILE :

After a period of time of doing small gigs and performances for pubs, the band released their debut album Chuuzetsu in 1992, which was shortly followed by a mini album entitled Ikiteita Chuzetsuji... (remastered from an old demo tape).

In 1994, the band released their first major label single For Dear to promote the forthcoming album Mayoeri Yuritachi. The band also dropped its’ very heavy Visual Kei look to a more conservative (but still very Visual Kei influenced) look, and their songs became more loud and abrasive. In 1995 Shin left the group to focus upon Vinyl, the other band he was in.

After this Kuroyume performed as a duet and eventually disbanded in 1998. Kuroyume has been looked upon as one of the greatest influences in the 1990 Visual Kei scene, and continues to influence newer Visual Kei bands.
