[BAND PROFILE] Kuroyume

Kuroyume

MEMBERS :

Vocals: Kiyoharu
Bass: Hitoki
Guitar: Sho

Started: 1991
Status: Disbanded

PROFILE :

After a period of time of doing small gigs and performances for pubs, the band released their debut album Chuuzetsu in 1992, which was shortly followed by a mini album entitled Ikiteita Chuzetsuji... (remastered from an old demo tape).

In 1994, the band released their first major label single For Dear to promote the forthcoming album Mayoeri Yuritachi. The band also dropped its’ very heavy Visual Kei look to a more conservative (but still very Visual Kei influenced) look, and their songs became more loud and abrasive. In 1995 Shin left the group to focus upon Vinyl, the other band he was in.

After this Kuroyume performed as a duet and eventually disbanded in 1998. Kuroyume has been looked upon as one of the greatest influences in the 1990 Visual Kei scene, and continues to influence newer Visual Kei bands.
